Battle of Gate Pa
Today in class we have been Given 3 Pictures and we have to find out who they are and why there famous ?
A = Bill Henry Willie Apiata ( The guy in the Black suit ) is famous because he was the first person to win the VC ( Victoria Cross )award for New Zealand. He got awarded this for valour ''in the face of the enemy''. He was also born on the 28 June, 1972, ( 41 years ).
B = Sir Jerry Meteparae (The guy in the grey suit) was born on the 14th november 1954 (59) New Zealand. He was famous because he is a New Zealand governor general. He was a chief of the New Zealand defence force between 2006 - 2011, the second Maori person to hold the office.
